Due to the large number of queries from authors looking to be stocked in the bookshop, please note we are no longer accepting in-shop submissions and kindly ask instead that authors email us at info@themargatebookshop.com following these guidelines:

-      Please include "Author Submission Request" in the subject line – this will help us track your email so it doesn’t get lost in our inbox.

-      Please provide a brief description of the work and include an image of the book cover. Where relevant (e.g. photography books), please include a couple of inside spreads.

-      Please allow a response time of up to six weeks before emailing us to follow up.

-      Due to the large number of queries, we are not able to provide in depth feedback for every submission.

We’ll consider all submissions for inclusion in the shop but will prioritise local authors as our space is limited. Please note we take pride in the curation of our stock and give great importance to print quality and presentation and that these are decisive elements when reviewing potential stock.
