LETTERS TO MY YOUNGER QUEER SELF WITH DANIEL HARDING | THURSDAY, 7 AUGUST
Daniel Harding celebrates his new book Letters to My Younger Queer Self, a collection of inspiring, influential LGBTQIA+ voices, as part of Margate Pride
7:00pm-9:00pm CAMP
If you could write a note of comfort or advice to your past self, what might you say? Daniel Harding's celebratory new collection, Letters to my Younger Queer Self, features letters written by LGBTQIA+ luminaries like drag icon Alaska, comedian Suzi Ruffell, HIV activist Philip Baldwin and Nadia Whittome MP. Introduced and edited by Harding, each letter is a bright beacon of self-acceptance, strength and solidarity to look to in dark times.
Daniel Harding is a journalist, presenter and news producer. His first book, Gay Man Talking, a series of candid and poignant conversations with those closest to him, was published in 2022. He'll be discussing Letters to my Younger Queer Self with one of its contributors, Margate's own Robert Diament, co-host of the Talk Art podcast and director of Carl Freedman Gallery and Counter Editions.
Entry is free but please RSVP via Eventbrite to guarantee a space.
