NOVA SCOTIA HOUSE WITH CHARLIE PORTER | THURSDAY, 8 MAY

Author, journalist and curator Charlie Porter discusses his debut work of fiction, Nova Scotia House, a story of queer love, loss and liberation. He'll be in conversation with Ryan J. Smith

7:00pm-9:00pm Fort Road Bar

Intimate, visionary, and original, Nova Scotia House takes us to the heart of a relationship, a community and a lost era. It is both a love story and a lament, bearing witness to the enduring pain of the AIDS pandemic and honouring the joys and creativity of queer life.

Charlie Porter has published two books about art and fashion, Bring No Clothes and What Artists Wear, and has written for the Financial Times, The Guardian, The New York Times, GQ, Luncheon, i-D and Fantastic Man. He co-runs the London queer rave Chapter 10 and is a trustee of the Friends of Arnold Circus, where he is also a volunteer gardener.

Entry is free but please RSVP via Eventbrite to guarantee a space.
