TABLE FOR ONE WITH EMMA GANNON | THURSDAY, 29 MAY
Author Emma Gannon chats about her latest novel Table for One, a smart, fun and life-affirming self-love letter to solo diners everywhere
7:00pm-9:00pm Fort Road Bar
'If in doubt, date yourself'. A smart, fun and refreshingly relatable reminder that life is never linear, Emma Gannon's second novel Table for One follows Willow, a woman whose seemingly perfect partner, high-flying career and model home all fall away in a short space of time. Adrift, heartbroken and with no clear plan, inspiration strikes when she least expects it, leading Willow to take on a few long-neglected renovation projects; the relationships she has with the women in her life, and most importantly, the one she has with herself.
A judge on this year's Women's Prize panel, Emma Gannon has published eight books, not least her fiction debut Olive, and self-development staples like The Multi-Hyphen Method and The Success Myth. She also writes The Hyphen, one of the most popular Substack newsletters in the UK. She'll be discussing Table for One with her comrade-in-literature, Margate-based author and podcast host Daisy Buchanan.
Entry is free but please RSVP via Eventbrite to guarantee a space.
